Wine-Tasting Events

If you want to turn your next gathering into something fun and educational, then wine-tasting is definitely the ticket! I offer guided Italian wine-tastings that can be held both virtually and in-person (when that happy day re-arrives).

Wine-tasting events are intended for groups of friends or family, and for businesses looking to organize something unique and memorable for their employees. Let’s do some “team-building” while sipping Italian wine!

Games and other fun activities can be incorporated into the event at your request. If you wish, I can even take you and your group to Italy – virtually, of course – to comb the cellars, walk the vineyards, and most of all, experience the wine guided by the winemaker who made it.

During a tasting we can talk about Italian wine varietals, specific regional wines, and regional food. The possible areas of exploration, however, are almost endless. We can go more in-depth if you prefer. I can teach you how to taste wine, and what to look for when you do, helping you understand how to judge the quality of a wine objectively, and making you a more knowledgeable, savvier consumer.

I have partnered with an ensemble of small wine producers in Italy. I can introduce you to them (and their truly exceptional wines) during a tasting. While many of these producers are not well known in the U.S., their hard-to-find and comparatively well-priced offerings will leave you clamoring for more.

I have also partnered with different restaurants in the San Diego area. I can transform your event into an unforgettable wine luncheon or dinner during which you’ll enjoy a three course meal specially prepared by great local chefs, all the while drinking wines expertly paired to complement both the occasion and meal. I have also partnered with the best cheese shop in San Diego – Venissimo Cheese! Robert Graff, Venissimo’s Academy of Cheese Manager, and I can curate the perfect event for you (and your budget). You and your group can learn about great Italian wine and cheese in one sitting!
